Detailing Manager – PEMB, Tekla

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate sales scopes for precision, completeness, feasibility, and alignment with project specifications.

• Create and sustain the Live Scope throughout the duration of the project.

• Generate detailed 2D drawings, including foundation plans, sections, and elevations, as necessary.

• Detect and address technical conflicts, gaps, and inconsistencies.

• Manage change orders and ensure that project documentation is consistent with the approved scope.

• Act as the primary technical authority during the detailing phase.

• Facilitate regular reviews of Tekla Structures models and offer technical direction and corrective advice to detailing teams.

• Conduct final Quality Control checks prior to job issuance.

• Produce accurate and comprehensive shippers, shop drawings, and E-sheets.

• Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Design, Detailing, and Shop teams to guarantee a seamless transition from sales to production.

• Recognize recurring challenges and contribute to enhancing detailing standards, processes, and quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB), metal building systems, structural steel, or a related discipline.

• Profound knowledge of PEMB systems, construction methodologies, and detailing practices.

• Advanced skills in Tekla Structures, particularly for PEMB detailing and model assessments.

• Strong 2D drafting capabilities using AutoCAD or BricsCAD.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings.

• Solid understanding of constructability, fabrication, and erection needs.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify potential issues before they escalate.

• Strong skills in problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and documentation.

• Highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
