This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a developing individual contributor within a design team.
• Enhance leadership, guidance, and mentoring abilities.
• Assist in managing scope, schedule, and delivery requirements with guidance from leadership.
• Cultivate relationships with team members, government and company stakeholders, and program management.
• Manage tactical program assignments and strategic initiatives.
• Produce discovery artifacts, sketches, rough prototypes, wireframes, UX flows, and high-fidelity prototypes.
• Aid in the development and communication of milestones, delivering within your area of expertise.
• Collaborate with Senior Designers for mentorship.
• Conduct competitive analyses and share findings with stakeholders.
• Contribute to design libraries with visual design and branding artifacts.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate discussions and clarify goals.
• Guide and mentor designers by providing actionable feedback.
• Hone storytelling skills for engaging artifacts and presentations.
• Lead human-centered design processes and associated deliverables.
• May oversee accessibility tasks, including compliance with Section 508.
• Identify risks and relay mitigation strategies to leadership.
• May create and manage content for high-visibility websites or applications while adhering to design guidelines.
• Bachelor’s degree and over 5 years of experience.
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Progressive experience with design principles and related technologies.
• Understanding of the interplay between roles and how design impacts business objectives.
• Proficiency in design software such as Figma, Miro, Adobe, or other design tools.
• Ability to navigate through ambiguous requirements and environments.
• Knowledge of typography and design hierarchy.
• Familiarity with human-centered design processes and relevant standards and regulations.
• May lead accessibility tasks, including Section 508 compliance, and possess knowledge of emerging accessibility standards.
• Capacity to identify risks and communicate recommendations to leadership.
