This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and engage in the complete software development lifecycle for the NCPDP F6 implementation, encompassing analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Work collaboratively with business analysts, system architects, quality assurance teams, and technical stakeholders to convert functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Design, create, and sustain complex application code to ensure precise and efficient processing of pharmacy claim transactions in line with NCPDP F6 standards.
• Spearhead modifications to existing application modules to update NCPDP field definitions, segment structures, transaction rules, and state-specific business requirements.
• Collaborate with EDI, Medicaid, and pharmacy domain specialists to verify F6 transaction mappings, layouts, data transformations, and backend-system integration points.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, data mappings, interface specifications, code documentation, and system design artifacts.
• Offer technical guidance, perform code reviews, and assist less-experienced developers.
• Provide technical support for unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect resolution, deployment, and production stabilization.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive software development experience, ideally within Medicaid, healthcare, or pharmacy benefit systems.
• Strong practical knowledge of NCPDP standards, including D.0 and F6 transaction structures and processing requirements.
• Advanced expertise in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, or COBOL.
• Proven experience with EDI processing, pharmacy claims, and Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS).
• Extensive knowledge of SQL, XML, data transformation tools, system interfaces, and troubleshooting complex data-processing issues.
• Exceptional analytical, technical design, debugging, documentation, collaboration, and communication abilities.
