This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Lead feasibility assessments for RWD versus FWD configurations, focusing on axle durability, shaft angles, and packaging limitations.
• Develop comprehensive designs for rear axles, half-shafts, and driveline components.
• Collaborate with chassis, thermal, and battery teams to ensure effective integration.
• Create decision-support documents, including trade-off matrices and risk evaluations, for leadership presentations.
• Document assumptions, interfaces, and dependencies to inform engineering choices.
• Assist in prototyping and testing of RWD concepts.
• Over 5 years of experience in driveline, axle, or vehicle architecture design (automotive/EV preferred).
• Proficiency in CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE (essential for 3D modeling and assembly).
• Familiarity with driveline simulation tools (AVL Cruise, CarSim) and durability analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for intricate engineering trade-offs.
• Proficient in English (technical writing and presentation skills).
• Willingness to relocate to the USA (visa support provided).
• Capability to lead small teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and manage project timelines.
• Experience with EV skateboard architectures or modular driveline systems.
• Understanding of NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) factors in driveline design.
• Knowledge of FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
