This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Develop design and construction packages for renewable utility-scale projects ranging from 50β500MW+
β’ Create layouts for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), electrical one-lines, collection systems, and installation details for equipment
β’ Engage directly with clients to ensure successful project delivery
β’ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of 2β4 members in project design
β’ Assist early-stage projects by producing conceptual designs and material take-offs
β’ Contribute to the establishment of internal engineering standards, toolsets, and workflows
β’ Transform conceptual system ideas into optimized Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) designs
β’ Maintain adherence to project schedules and meet targeted deadlines
β’ Improve workflows, address challenges, and promote continuous enhancement using advancing technology and AI tools
β’ A degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification is required
β’ At least 2β4 years of experience in power systems is necessary
β’ Strong preference for detailed design experience with Renewable BESS
β’ Familiarity with CYMCAP is preferred
β’ Experience with ETAP and/or EasyPower is preferred
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
β’ Strong interpersonal abilities
β’ Capability to present complex information clearly and effectively to employees, management, and clients
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
β’ Proven proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
β’ Experience or familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit is preferred, but not mandatory
β’ A self-starter with a drive to identify and implement improvements
β’ Ability to formulate innovative approaches to challenges
β’ Willingness to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
β’ In-depth knowledge of BESS and/or wind systems, NEC requirements, and construction practices is strongly preferred
β’ Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
β’ Capacity to maintain project schedules and meet deadlines
β’ Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
β’ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster effective working relationships
β’ Reliable high-speed internet access is required for remote work
β’ Willingness to travel up to 15%
β’ A valid driverβs license is preferred
