This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main point of contact for design oversight and strategic coordination throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Oversee external design consultants, which include architects, engineers, and specialty contractors, from their appointment to construction administration.
• Ensure that design deliverables meet client branding, functional needs, and sustainability objectives.
• Conduct design reviews at significant milestones to ensure compliance with the project brief and technical specifications.
• Facilitate value engineering while preserving design integrity and quality.
• Provide timely notifications for potential design schedule delays and implement strategies to mitigate them.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, project managers, and design teams to address complex technical challenges.
• Manage documentation required for permit applications and regulatory submissions.
• Advocate for client interests during design meetings.
• Create and present architectural briefs based on business requirements and stakeholder input.
• Oversee design consultant outputs to ensure accuracy, transparency, and accessibility.
• A B.A. or B.F.A. in Interior Design from a Council for Interior Design Accreditation program, or a B.A. or M.A. in Architecture from an accredited architectural program.
• NCIDQ certification or architectural registration is preferred.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in commercial project design, construction, or project management.
• Ability to understand, analyze, and interpret complex business and technical documents.
• Proficient in Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles, including budget analysis and project cost tracking.
• Capable of delivering effective and persuasive presentations on intricate topics to clients, management, and project teams.
• Skilled in empowering and negotiating effectively with external consultants and internal stakeholder groups.
• Strong grasp of building codes, zoning regulations, and industry-standard procurement processes.
• Ability to make decisions based on a deep understanding of company policies and business practices.
