This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Drive customized account experiences for dermatology customers and healthcare professionals.
• Serve as the main contact for key accounts.
• Establish significant connections with customers and identify mutual goals.
• Navigate solutions that link customers to Novartis resources aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
• Balance demand generation with strategic engagement of accounts.
• Address and resolve account challenges with tailored solutions.
• Develop strategic territory plans that stimulate product demand and support patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with territory teammates, field teams, and colleagues from the home office.
• Analyze market intelligence, competitive landscapes, and cross-functional dynamics.
• Leverage territory data and market trends to reveal local insights and aid pull-through efforts.
• Lead customer interactions both virtually and in-person.
• Conduct planning sessions with key stakeholders to address complex challenges.
• Provide real-time access support and work together with Patient Specialty Services.
• Utilize digital tools and omni-channel strategies for customer outreach in both virtual and face-to-face settings.
• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries within the last 5 years, particularly with large, geographically dispersed sales teams or comparable complex sales environments.
• Demonstrated history of consistent high performance.
• Experience selling to large accounts and key customers.
• Analytical skills to identify, prioritize, and utilize relevant information to address customer issues.
• Ethical leadership skills and the ability to promote ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
• Must live within the territory or within a reasonable commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a wide geographic area.
• Capability to drive and/or fly within the territory.
• Valid, fully unrestricted driver's license is required.
• Associate level: Recently separated from the U.S. Military with 4+ years of military service in a leadership role, or limited prior sales experience.
• Territory Account Specialist: 2+ years of experience in a qualifying sales role within the last 5 years.
• Senior Territory Account Specialist: 5+ years of experience in a qualifying sales role within the last 5 years.
• Executive Territory Account Specialist: 10+ years of experience in a qualifying sales role within the last 5 years.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across functions within a matrix environment.
• Competence in communicating clinical product information.
• Must comply with customers’ credentialing guidelines, which may necessitate vaccination.
• Successful completion of initial training, including home study not exceeding 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.
