This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Supervise and manage a team of 6-10 representatives within the designated area.
• Oversee hiring processes, provide both live and virtual coaching, facilitate representative development, manage performance, and allocate priority accounts.
• Formulate and execute district strategic plans, business plans, and budgets.
• Organize, monitor, and assess district and regional business performance.
• Ensure effective use and field implementation of promotional and marketing materials.
• Proactively analyze data to uncover market trends.
• Identify and cultivate key account opportunities impacting regional and national business.
• Foster relationships with customers, key opinion leaders (KOLs), key stakeholders, channel partners, and cross-functional teams.
• Develop external advocates and engage in advocacy and community initiatives.
• Ensure compliant execution and adherence to integrity, compliance policies, and district standards.
• Mentor representatives on cross-functional collaboration, digital tools, hybrid selling, and customer engagement.
• Plan and execute action plans and meetings with district management, channel partners, and cross-functional partners.
• Collaborate with marketing on strategies, business imperatives, and objectives during the operating plan process.
• Lead cross-functional partnerships to address patient-service needs.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, portfolios, disease states, and market dynamics.
• Utilize digital and virtual tools effectively and leverage customer analytics insights.
• Coach and guide representatives on selling techniques, product knowledge, capabilities, and business planning.
• Keep track of individual sales representative planning.
• Foster team culture, engagement, morale, feedback, accountability, and continuous improvement in a hybrid environment.
• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a role demonstrating leadership across peer and customer groups.
• Previous experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with key thought leaders or high-influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations is preferred.
• Willingness to travel as needed to foster internal and external relationships.
• A valid US driver's license and a driving record in compliance with company standards.
• Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify candidates from employment.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and oversee the work of colleagues.
• An MBA or relevant graduate degree is preferred.
• 5 or more years of experience in people management is preferred.
• Specialty experience and expertise are strongly preferred.
• Capability to develop and reinforce team expertise on a broader portfolio content.
• A mindset geared towards cross-functional collaboration.
• A commitment to fostering a feedback culture.
• Additional training in digital, legal, and compliance, including contracting permissions and guidelines.
