This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, practice leaders, billing teams, and various stakeholders to facilitate patient access to prescribed therapies and related resources.
• Provide education and support regarding access, reimbursement, coverage, and patient assistance programs.
• Assist in incorporating access and reimbursement resources into office workflows and procedures.
• Act as a resource for product acquisition, ordering, payment processing, inventory management, and product return and replacement processes.
• Address reimbursement, claims, prior authorizations, denials, appeals, and coverage-related challenges with customer accounts.
• Keep track of and communicate changes in payer policies, reimbursement trends, and the evolving landscape of healthcare.
• Aid in the implementation of patient assistance and co-pay programs.
• Collaborate with Patient Support Services and cross-functional teams to resolve access and reimbursement issues, monitor cases, and educate customers.
• Develop and implement account-specific access and reimbursement strategies, including buy-and-bill processes, acquisition pathways, and site-of-care considerations.
• Establish relationships with revenue cycle leaders, financial counselors, pharmacists, office administrators, and decision-makers within health systems.
• Share insights from customers, market trends, and access barriers with internal teams.
• Ensure adherence to relevant policies, regulations, and adverse event reporting requirements.
• Function as a field-based partner supporting key accounts within a designated geography.
• Work collaboratively with customers, field teams, home-office teams, and cross-functional partners.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required from an accredited four-year college or university.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in reimbursement, market access, managed care, clinical support, pharmaceutical sales, or a related healthcare field.
• Experience in supporting specialty pharmacy products through specialty pharmacy networks, distributors, or other specialty access channels.
• Proficiency in coding, billing, claims, reimbursement processes, and office-based patient support programs.
• Experience collaborating with specialty pharmacies and navigating access and reimbursement considerations throughout the patient journey.
• Understanding of buy-and-bill reimbursement pathways, including product acquisition, coverage, and payment processes.
• Experience with injection networks or provider-administered therapies in physician offices, clinics, or health system environments.
• Candidates must reside within the designated territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border.
• Willingness to travel 60-80% across a broad geography, with the ability to drive and/or fly within the territory.
• A valid, unrestricted driver’s license is required.
• Must adhere to customers’ credentialing guidelines, which may include vaccination requirements.
• Successful completion of initial training is required, including home study not exceeding eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week.
