This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the senior strategic and operational collaborator with the Chief Learning Officer for the Flourishing and Future of Education portfolio.
• Oversee the team’s operational model and execution across various functions.
• Manage planning, systems, budgets, resources, operational rhythms, cross-team coordination, and execution of priorities.
• Collaborate with the CLO to ensure strategic clarity and foster a high-performing team culture.
• Build and oversee team capacity, including the supervision of the Program and Operations Manager.
• Assist the CLO in key meetings and external engagements.
• Create presentations and materials that communicate priorities and emerging insights.
• Advance the team’s funding strategy in collaboration with the Global Development team.
• Cultivate potential supporters and translate priorities into proposals and reports.
• Enhance impact measurement methodologies.
• Collaborate with the CLO and Global Leadership Directors on significant programmatic initiatives.
• Formulate plans and milestones, mobilize resources, evaluate impact, and ensure execution remains on track.
• Lead focused research and synthesis on priority learning questions.
• Integrate learning across initiatives to enhance portfolio coherence and impact.
• Transform learning into knowledge products and broaden outreach through the Better Future Hub and external channels.
• A minimum of 10–15 years of experience, including substantial experience managing complex portfolios across functions or regions and/or leading teams.
• Proven operational leadership and experience in developing effective systems and methodologies for high-performing teams.
• Proficient in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource management.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Capability to independently oversee multiple projects with competing deadlines while fostering strong execution.
• Exceptional strategic judgment, systems thinking, synthesis, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to effectively prioritize, link execution to broader strategic objectives, and navigate competing perspectives constructively.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong relationships and work effectively across diverse cultures and stakeholder groups.
• Excellent written, visual, and executive communication skills.
• Skilled in distilling complex concepts into clear, simple, and compelling messages for varied audiences.
• Capability to structure ambiguous, open-ended questions into thorough inquiry plans.
• Proficiency in engaging with research, interviews, case studies, surveys, and other forms of evidence.
• Deep alignment with the belief in holistic education for young people.
• Extensive programmatic experience in education, leadership development, or related fields.
• Must currently possess valid work and residency authorization for the country of hire.
