This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the complete processing cycle, which includes daily queue oversight, decision-making, accept/reject decisions, adjustments, research, and resolving exceptions for tasks such as Mobile Remote Deposit Capture.
• Conduct reconciliation and monitoring tasks, which involve balancing/settlement verification, variance analysis, and reconciliation approvals.
• Examine transaction patterns and volumes, pinpoint exception/contact causes, and suggest enhancements to processes.
• Prepare and/or authorize General Ledger modifications within predefined authority limits.
• Offer Tier II phone assistance, troubleshooting, and issue triage for Deposit Operations.
• Review Tier II support trends and propose systemic enhancements through updated procedures, job aids, or upstream solutions.
• Evaluate risk trends and control effectiveness, recognize emerging issues, and recommend corrective measures.
• Provide analytical support for escalations, including identifying root causes and proposing solutions.
• Share insights, reporting, and best practices with team members and management.
• Collaborate across departments to address recurring issues and enhance service and controls.
• Engage in service and process enhancement initiatives.
• Assist in special projects and the implementation of new procedures, controls, or technologies.
• Adhere to bank policies, audit requirements, regulatory obligations, and necessary compliance training.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
• High School Diploma is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• National Check Professional (NCP) certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in bank operations is required.
• Previous experience in item/check/payment processing is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems, identify trends, recommend systemic improvements, and support preventative strategies.
• Strong understanding of relevant regulations.
• Capability to identify potential compliance issues and assist with regulatory analysis, examinations, and reporting.
• Functional knowledge/understanding of accounting concepts and processes is preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Proficient in using PC software tools for reports, audits, and analysis.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving and time management capabilities.
