This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Oversee the deployment of AI clusters, which includes the Cerebras Wafer Scale Engine, high-speed switches, storage solutions, and rack-level infrastructure.
β’ Facilitate the integration of high-density compute racks, specialized racks, and relevant power components (PDUs, busway drops).
β’ Ensure that the deployment is consistent with the AI cluster architecture, topology, and scaling requirements.
β’ Manage the installation of high-speed interconnect cabling (fiber and copper) that supports AI fabrics (eastβwest traffic) within Data Centers.
β’ Coordinate the cabling for both inter-rack and intra-rack connections for AI clusters, including spine-leaf and pod-level designs.
β’ Ensure that all AI-related cabling is routed properly, has adequate airflow clearance, is labeled correctly, and is tested thoroughly.
β’ Collaborate closely with facilities teams regarding power capacity, cooling preparedness, containment, and grounding for dense racks.
β’ Organize the deployment sequencing in alignment with facility commissioning milestones.
β’ Validate the readiness of white-space prior to the deployment of racks and clusters.
β’ Troubleshoot issues related to cabling, connectivity, and integration that could affect the bring-up of AI clusters.
β’ Lead root-cause analyses for deployment hindrances associated with cabling, hardware positioning, or facility dependencies.
β’ Assist in the validation, burn-in, and transition of AI clusters to operations teams.
β’ Collaborate with network, server, AI platform, and operations teams to ensure alignment on deployment plans and readiness.
β’ Oversee multiple simultaneous AI cluster deployments across various sites or availability zones.
β’ Clearly communicate risks, dependencies, and milestones to stakeholders.
β’ Ensure all deployments adhere to company design standards, structured cabling best practices, and AI deployment protocols.
β’ Validate as-built documentation, check labeling accuracy, and maintain deployment checklists.
β’ Keep precise records of cluster configurations, cabling, and deployment statuses.
β’ Uphold EHS, data center safety, and access control protocols throughout the deployment process.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field of practical experience.
β’ A minimum of 10 years in data center deployments, infrastructure delivery, or integration roles.
β’ Capability to provide guidance to technicians on the data center floor.
β’ Practical experience in deploying hyperscale AI, ML, or HPC infrastructure.
β’ Strong background in structured cabling within high-density environments, along with troubleshooting skills.
β’ Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional deployment initiatives.
β’ Familiarity with high-speed fabrics (e.g., InfiniBand, high-bandwidth Ethernet).
β’ Experience with DCIM or deployment tracking systems.
β’ Strong attention to detail and operational diligence.
β’ Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines and production constraints.
β’ Develop a groundbreaking AI platform that transcends GPU limitations.
β’ Publish and open-source cutting-edge AI research.
β’ Work on one of the world's fastest AI supercomputers.
β’ Enjoy job security combined with the dynamism of a startup environment.
β’ Experience a straightforward, non-corporate work culture that respects individual beliefs.
