Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with customer engineering teams to design and build production AI agents.

• Take charge of the technical success during pre-sales by creating POCs, addressing intricate technical inquiries, and directing evaluations.

• Assist clients in deploying and managing conversational agents, research agents, and multi-step workflows.

• Provide post-sale guidance to clients on architecture, best practices, and strategic roadmap decisions.

• Conduct technical demonstrations, training sessions, and workshops for developer audiences.

• Gather field feedback and contribute reusable patterns, cookbooks, and example code across various clients.

• Occasionally contribute code upstream when it significantly enhances customer outcomes.

• Travel to client sites up to 40% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in a relevant technical position, preferably in a startup or scale-up environment.

• Proficient in Python, JavaScript, and systems fundamentals.

• Experience in designing agent-based or LLM-powered applications that go beyond simple API interactions.

• Familiarity with multi-step workflows, orchestration, and failure management.

• Comfortable engaging directly with customers during POCs, architectural reviews, and technical assessments.

• Capable of clearly articulating technical trade-offs and establishing trust with developer audiences.

• Strong sense of ownership over outcomes, not merely recommendations.

• Proactive approach with the ability to solve problems as they arise.

• Enthusiastic about operating AI agents in production environments.

• Nice to have: experience with production AI-agent deployment utilizing LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks.

• Nice to have: background in LLM evaluation, observability, or implementing guardrails.

• Nice to have: familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure; containerization; and fundamental Kubernetes concepts.

• Nice to have: experience in shipping and managing production software.
