This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Collaborate in the design and development of production AI agents alongside customer engineering teams.
• Take ownership of the technical success during pre-sales by crafting proof of concepts (POCs), addressing intricate technical inquiries, and steering evaluations.
• Assist customers in deploying and managing agent-based applications, including conversational agents, research agents, and multi-step workflows.
• Provide post-sale guidance to customers regarding architecture, best practices, and strategic roadmap decisions.
• Conduct technical demonstrations, training sessions, and workshops targeted at developer audiences.
• Gather feedback from the field and contribute to the creation of reusable patterns, cookbooks, and example code that can be leveraged across various customers.
• Occasionally write and contribute code upstream when it significantly enhances customer outcomes.
• Travel to customer sites up to 40% of the time.
• A minimum of 6 years in a relevant technical position, such as software engineering, customer engineering, solutions engineering, or founding/product engineering.
• Preferably experienced in a startup or scale-up environment.
• Proficient in Python, JavaScript, and foundational systems knowledge.
• Experienced in designing agent-based or LLM-powered applications that go beyond simple API calls, including multi-step workflows, orchestration, and error handling.
• Comfortable engaging directly with customers during POCs, architectural assessments, and technical evaluations.
• Capable of clearly articulating technical trade-offs and establishing trust with developer audiences.
• Accountable for results, not merely providing recommendations.
• Proactive and resourceful, able to navigate challenges as they arise.
• Enthusiastic about operating AI agents in a production setting.
• Nice to have: experience with the deployment of production AI agents, particularly using LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks.
• Nice to have: familiarity with LLM evaluation, observability, or guardrails.
• Nice to have: experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, containers, and fundamental Kubernetes concepts.
• Nice to have: experience in shipping and managing production software while adhering to real-world constraints.
