Dental Field Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Install, remove, and certify both new and certified pre-owned panoramic X-ray and cone beam equipment along with associated computers.

• Perform calibration and conduct performance testing to ensure the quality of installations.

• Install and maintain dental surgical microscopes.

• Provide training to small groups of staff on the operation of equipment, hardware, and software.

• Assist in developing Trusted Dental Technicians through co-travel certifications.

• Oversee third-party assistants by assigning tasks and monitoring their progress.

• Execute performance tests on acquired equipment to guarantee quality and condition.

• Effectively maintain tools and testing equipment.

• Facilitate the installation of capital equipment, including electrical and low-voltage connections.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment, computer systems, software, and connectivity problems.

• Provide on-site acquisition, installation, servicing, and support for dental digital equipment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required.

• Desired technical training or experience in the dental field, specifically with digital CBCT.

• Basic knowledge of Windows operating system and general networking principles.

• Mechanical understanding of construction methods is preferred.

• Comfortable using both power and hand tools.

• Strong communication skills via phone and email.

• A curious mindset and eagerness to learn new products, systems, and technologies.

• A positive, team-oriented attitude and a commitment to assisting others in achieving success.

• Willingness to travel primarily within the region.

• Occasional travel on weekends or holidays may be required.

• Must reside within one hour of a major airport.

• Capability to travel with tools and/or parts for installation or service work.

• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

• Valid driver's license is necessary.

• Must be able to obtain a passport if travel outside the United States is necessary.

• Experience in installing medical or dental equipment and imaging systems is advantageous.

• Graduation from an electronics/technology program, MCSE, or equivalent is a plus.

• Proven experience in component-level troubleshooting is a benefit.

• Previous work in the dental, surgical, or medical device industry is a plus.

• Familiarity with residential and commercial building/construction methods is a bonus.

• Military technical training, veteran status, or prior military experience in technical fields is highly regarded.
