Dental Field Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Install, remove, and/or certify new and certified pre-owned panoramic X-ray and cone beam equipment along with associated computers.

• Perform calibration and conduct performance testing to ensure installation quality.

• Install and maintain dental surgical microscopes.

• Provide training to small groups of staff on fundamental equipment operations, hardware usage, and software functionalities.

• Enhance technician expertise through co-travel certifications.

• Supervise third-party assistants by assigning tasks and monitoring their progress.

• Execute performance evaluations on purchased equipment to guarantee proper quality and condition.

• Ensure proper maintenance of tools and testing equipment.

• Oversee capital equipment installation, including electrical and low-voltage connections.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to equipment, computers, software, and connectivity.

• Conduct on-site acquisition, installation, servicing, and support of dental digital equipment in dental and specialty practices.

• A high school diploma or GED is required.

• Technical training or relevant industry experience in digital CBCT is preferred.

• A basic understanding of Windows OS and general networking is essential.

• Mechanical knowledge of construction methods is necessary.

• Proficiency in using power and hand tools is required.

• Strong communication skills via phone and email are important.

• A curiosity and willingness to learn about new products, systems, and technologies is essential.

• A positive, team-oriented demeanor and commitment to assisting others in achieving success is vital.

• Willingness to travel primarily within the region.

• Occasional travel on weekends or holidays may be requested.

• Must live within one hour of a major airport.

• Capability to travel with tools and/or parts for installation or service is required.

• Must be able to lift 100 pounds.

• A valid driver's license is necessary.

• Ability to obtain a passport if international travel is required.

• Experience in the installation of medical or dental equipment and imaging systems is advantageous.

• Graduation from an electronics/technology program, MCSE, or an equivalent qualification is a plus.

• Proven skills in component-level troubleshooting are beneficial.

• Prior experience in the dental, surgical, or medical device industry is a plus.

• Military technical training or prior military experience in relevant technical fields may be considered relevant experience.
