Demand Planner Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Oversee demand planning, forecasting, inventory distribution, and operational coordination across both international distributor and direct markets.

• Take ownership of the monthly demand planning and forecasting processes.

• Aggregate market forecasts and evaluate forecast accuracy, bias, demand variability, purchasing behaviors, and emerging trends.

• Conduct monthly reviews with direct markets and quarterly demand assessments with distributor partners.

• Lead and engage in S&OP discussions addressing demand, inventory health, service levels, purchasing behaviors, and operational risks.

• Foster partnerships with country leadership and distributor teams to collect market intelligence, commercial insights, competitive developments, tender opportunities, and launch information.

• Analyze forecast changes, demand surges, demand declines, inventory discrepancies, and unusual ordering patterns.

• Formulate consensus demand plans that reconcile market expectations, inventory availability, supply limitations, financial goals, and operational capabilities.

• Align forecasts with existing orders, shipping plans, product availability, and fulfillment expectations.

• Assist with product launches, software releases, product enhancements, and discontinuations through forecasts, inventory strategies, and transition planning.

• Identify aging, surplus, or potentially obsolete inventory and create mitigation and depletion strategies.

• Lead demand allocation planning during times of supply constraints.

• Collaborate with Finance on revenue planning and develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms.

• Present insights on demand, inventory, and fulfillment to Commercial and Operations leadership.

• Enhance planning tools, reporting, workflows, automation, and analytics.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, development, and performance management to Operations Specialists.

• Establish team priorities, encourage cross-training and succession planning, and promote collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of six years of experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, sales operations, inventory management, or commercial operations.

• Strong understanding of forecasting, demand planning, inventory management, allocation, and supply chain procedures.

• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Financial and commercial insight, including knowledge of revenue forecasting.

• Experience working collaboratively across Commercial, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain functions.

• Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and stakeholder-management abilities.

• Proficient in spoken and written English.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international, and dynamic environment.

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to various international locations.

• Flexibility to collaborate across different international time zones.

• Capacity for independent international travel of up to 25%.

• Experience in supporting international markets, distributors, or complex fulfillment networks is particularly beneficial.

• Experience in a global or distributor-based commercial organization is especially valuable.

• Familiarity with CRM, ERP, order-management systems, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics environments is a plus.

• Experience in supporting product launches, lifecycle transitions, inventory allocation, or constrained-supply planning is advantageous.

• Proven experience in leading, coaching, and developing operational team members is highly regarded.

• Fluency in an additional European language is a significant asset.
