Demand Planner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create precise demand forecasts for all items within the designated business segment utilizing statistical forecasting techniques and cross-functional business insights.

• Incorporate customer insights, core business trends, merchandising promotional strategies, new item volumes, plan-o-gram modifications, and seasonal volume into the forecasts.

• Enhance forecast precision and minimize WMAPE and Bias error rates.

• Manage forecasting system models, maintain historical data, alerts, and ensure data integrity.

• Release a 52-week operational forecast segmented by item and distribution center.

• Deliver timely analysis, guidance, and decision-making support to Sales and Operations teams.

• Generate and distribute monthly and weekly demand forecasts, highlighting assumptions and notable changes.

• Assist in monthly Demand meetings and integrate feedback into the forecasting workflow.

• Record insights related to forecast modifications, growth rates, promotions, distribution alterations, customer insights, and forecasts by brand/pack type.

• Conduct ad hoc analyses for contingency planning purposes.

• Spearhead cross-functional initiatives to address demand-related challenges.

• Serve as a functional authority and lead special projects, including seasonal teams, new product introductions, and continuous improvement efforts.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.

• A solid understanding of fundamental business management principles and supply chain concepts.

• Capability to amalgamate various data sources to create, implement, and execute timely and accurate demand forecasts.

• Proficiency in identifying and assessing opportunities and proposing internal solutions.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, relationship management capabilities, and personal accountability for the assigned portfolio and outcomes.

• Effectiveness in communicating with internal and external stakeholders across all levels.

• Ability to navigate multiple information systems, including Excel, BPCS, and various PowerBI applications.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.

• Ability to analyze data specific to customers, along with reporting and analytical tools.

• Flexibility to adapt to rapid and ongoing changes.

• Strong mathematical proficiency.

• Travel is not required.

• Capability to perform sedentary office tasks and utilize standard office equipment.
