This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the demand planning and assumptions for a designated portfolio of customers and SKUs.
• Develop, validate, and disseminate the monthly demand forecast using Anaplan, which includes baseline, promotional uplift, new item ramp-up, and phase-out strategies.
• Assess statistical baselines, implement documented overrides, and uphold override discipline.
• Create and evaluate scenario versions to identify risks and opportunities, promotional strategies, supply limitations, and pricing modifications.
• Track forecast accuracy and bias, determine the root causes of discrepancies, and establish corrective measures.
• Generate launch forecasts leveraging historical analogs, planned marketing support, and account-level merchandising strategies.
• Represent the portfolio in consensus meetings and S&OP with Sales, Revenue Growth Management, and Finance teams.
• Gather and challenge assumptions related to promotions, launches, discontinuations, distribution, pricing, and customer strategies.
• Quantify and convey risks and opportunities effectively.
• Collaborate with Supply Planning on inventory management, weeks of supply, fill-rate risks, and allocation decisions.
• Analyze retailer and channel trends utilizing internal, POS, and syndicated data.
• Assist in the annual operating plan and long-term planning through portfolio demand contributions and scenario analyses.
• Engage in Anaplan implementation, user acceptance testing, data validation, and transitioning from Excel.
• Work alongside the Demand Planning Analyst on master data, reporting, and forecast-related data issues.
• Maintain the demand review calendar, forecast lock dates, and updates for the portfolio.
• Identify and enhance slow, manual, or unreliable planning processes.
• Reports to the Senior Manager of Demand Planning.
• Proficiency in Anaplan is essential.
• Experience with NetSuite for managing orders, shipments, and inventory history.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH, and managing large data sets.
• Proficient in PowerPoint, with the ability to create materials for consensus building and presentations to leadership.
• 3–5 years of professional supply chain experience, including a minimum of 1–2 years in a demand planner or demand planning analyst role or equivalent.
• Experience managing a customer or category portfolio throughout a complete monthly forecasting cycle.
• Practical experience forecasting in Anaplan or a similar integrated business planning platform.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with an ERP system.
• Working knowledge of statistical forecasting principles.
• Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to explain analyses to non-analytical audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and influential approach across Sales, Finance, Supply Planning, and Commercialization.
• Experience in a CPG, beverage, or manufacturing setting.
• Preferred: Familiarity with NielsenIQ, Circana, SPINS, Retail Link, or Vendor Central.
• Preferred: Experience with Sigma, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Anaplan or a comparable planning platform implementation, including user acceptance testing, data validation, or migration from spreadsheet-based planning.
• Nice-to-have: Anaplan Level 1 certification or equivalent platform training.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with syndicated and POS data sources and retailer portals.
• Nice-to-have: Exposure to annual operating plans or budget cycles in collaboration with Finance.
