Delivery Solutions Architect – Digital Native Business

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Sales, Solutions Architecture, and Field Engineering to enhance the adoption and expansion of the Databricks platform.

• Act as a reliable technical advisor for customers, assisting in the design, implementation, scaling, and optimization of data and AI solutions.

• Define and shape technical execution strategies across intricate use cases and various workstreams.

• Facilitate architecture discussions and steer technical decisions with customer technical leads and architects.

• Create secure, governed, and scalable Databricks architectures while considering performance, cost, reliability, and long-term requirements.

• Develop and showcase working solutions, prototypes, and reusable technical assets.

• Establish best practices for security, governance, and operational excellence.

• Promote adoption and usage by linking technical execution to business results.

• Collaborate with Databricks, customer, and implementation teams to synchronize resources, manage risks, and expedite delivery.

• Mentor colleagues and provide reusable technical guidance, frameworks, and enablement throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in solutions architecture, solutions engineering, technical consulting, professional services, data engineering, or a comparable technical role.

• Proven experience in influencing technical strategy and architecture across complex customer use cases or multiple workstreams.

• Strong coding skills in Python, SQL, Scala, or similar programming languages.

• In-depth knowledge of distributed data systems, data engineering, analytics, data warehousing, AI/ML, and contemporary cloud architectures.

• Experience in designing secure, governed, scalable, and production-ready data solutions.

• Capacity to address ambiguous technical challenges, assess trade-offs, and validate solutions through structured analysis or experimentation.

• Background in leading architecture discussions with technical leads, architects, and senior customer stakeholders.

• Strong grasp of platform operational excellence, encompassing security, governance, performance, reliability, and cost optimization.

• Proven ability to drive customer adoption, usage, and measurable business outcomes through technical leadership.

• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership abilities, with the skill to align teams without formal authority.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Experience with Databricks or relevant certification (preferred).

• Developing expertise in AI/ML, data engineering, streaming, data warehousing, governance, or migrations (preferred).

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and production cloud deployments (preferred).

• Experience in creating reusable technical frameworks, demos, or enablement (preferred).
