Delivery Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Lead and nurture a team of delivery experts.

• Enhance delivery capabilities and drive results across engineering.

• Investigate, challenge, and develop innovative delivery practices for a progressively AI-integrated environment.

• Utilize AI-driven strategies to enhance planning, coordination, decision-making, and team performance.

• Create structured, scalable delivery methodologies that boost predictability, transparency, and validation of outcomes.

• Provide clarity to ambiguous and changing situations, enabling teams to define tasks, manage risks and dependencies, and sustain progress.

• Mentor team members through consistent feedback, performance management, and career growth.

• Identify skill gaps and enhance the team through recruitment, development, and clear role definitions.

• Collaborate with engineering and product leaders to synchronize priorities, manage trade-offs, and enhance delivery across teams.

• Work closely with Engineering leadership, Product Management, Design, Security, and stakeholders throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience leading teams focused on software product delivery, product ownership, project management, or similar roles in a SaaS setting.

• Strong grasp of the software development lifecycle, from product discovery and requirements gathering to engineering execution, validation, release, and outcome assessment.

• Track record of successfully managing complex, cross-functional initiatives with effective stakeholder communication and alignment across technical and business teams.

• Adequate technical knowledge to identify system constraints, delivery risks, and trade-offs while collaborating efficiently with engineering teams.

• Experience in establishing scalable delivery practices that enhance predictability, transparency, risk management, and outcome validation.

• Recognized for providing clarity, structure, and direction in ambiguous and evolving contexts.

• A mindset focused on continuous improvement and a practical curiosity about leveraging AI to enhance planning, coordination, and delivery efficiency.

• Proven ability to build cohesive teams while recognizing the unique responsibilities and developmental needs of each team member.
