Defensive Security, SOC, and Blue Team Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Conduct live remote classes during evening hours.

• Support students by answering their inquiries and providing feedback while assessing assignments and projects.

• Instruct on security monitoring, detection, and incident response.

• Deliver training on SOC operations, NIDS/IPS, HIDS, SIEM, Threat Intelligence, and SOAR.

• Plan, configure, and manage NIDS/IPS systems utilizing Snort 3.

• Analyze network traffic and establish mechanisms for application detection, alerting, and identification.

• Set up Wazuh for threat detection, event correlation, and identification of malicious activities.

• Automate security operations through integrations with tools and APIs.

• Implement strategies for detection, investigation, and response using Wazuh.

• Oversee risk management, compliance, and vulnerabilities with Wazuh.

• Configure, manage, and automate Threat Intelligence using MISP.

• Plan and set up SOC/SOAR environments and manage TheHive.

• Operate Cortex for installation, integration, automation, and maintenance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Recent, relevant hands-on experience in Defensive Security, SOC, and Blue Team operations.

• A lato sensu postgraduate qualification (specialization) that has been completed or officially revalidated in Brazil.

• Proven experience applying subject-area competencies in projects and at reputable companies.

• Preferred teaching experience or involvement in related activities such as presentations, webinars, and internal training.

• Excellent verbal communication skills.

• Availability to grade assignments, assist students, and prepare lessons.

• Dedication to project-based, hands-on learning approaches.

• Openness to learning and implementing a competency-based teaching model.
