Deal Lead – Corporate Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Play a key role in shaping Kraken’s M&A and venture strategies while identifying valuable opportunities.

• Lead M&A and venture investments, formulating recommendations that advance initiatives.

• Oversee the complete deal process, from initial due diligence to final closing.

• Clearly communicate essential value drivers and considerations for potential M&A and venture opportunities in succinct deal memos; foster consensus among Leadership and the broader organization.

• Supervise the creation of pro forma financial models and valuation analyses.

• Manage the due diligence process in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain a vast network within the crypto and financial services sector to remain informed on significant trends and advancements.

• Help enhance the Corporate Development function by identifying process improvement opportunities and mentoring team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Corporate Development at a rapidly growing FinTech company or investment bank.

• Proven expertise in building pro forma financial models and conducting valuation analyses (DCF, comparable multiples, accretion/dilution, etc.).

• Comprehensive understanding of the M&A process (and venture), including legal considerations and integration strategies.

• Strong capability to build consensus and coordinate with a diverse group of cross-functional stakeholders across Legal, Finance, Product, Engineering, and other areas.

• Knowledge of the global regulatory landscape related to crypto and financial services.

• Solid understanding and/or demonstrated interest in the cryptocurrency sector.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, writing, and storytelling abilities.

• Meticulous attention to detail and a reputation for focusing on the finer points.

• Technical expertise or substantial knowledge of software/internet products and services.

• Extensive network in the crypto and/or traditional financial services markets.
