This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, test, and deploy database products in a cloud setting.
• Design and construct intricate data models.
• Create and execute data products that meet business requirements.
• Analyze informational needs, data relationships, attributes, data flow, storage necessities, and reporting capabilities.
• Define logical attributes and inter-relationships while designing data structures.
• Test applications using database management systems or general programming tools.
• Collect system metrics to identify and address issues.
• Enhance performance with measurable benchmarks.
• Collaborate with DBA and Production Services teams to monitor data products.
• Lead database design/modeling throughout all project phases.
• Prepare technical designs that align with business requirements and IT strategy/architecture.
• Assess new technologies and formulate proposals for new IT services, pilots, and production applications.
• Operate with minimal oversight and demonstrate independent judgment.
• Mentor junior Database Engineers.
• Serve as a technical project leader or provide guidance to lower-level team members without full supervisory duties.
• 5+ years of Data Management experience focusing on proposing and documenting technology solutions, particularly in database architecture and data integration.
• 8+ years of hands-on development experience in data management, advanced engineering principles, and analytics development.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Experience in designing, developing, and deploying data warehouses or relational, analytical, or multidimensional data marts.
• Knowledge of Virtual Data Warehousing or Snowflake DWaaS.
• Expertise in Relational Database Management Systems and advanced SQL skills.
• Skills in Extract/Load/Transform (ELT) development.
• Experience in building data pipelines on Azure while adhering to cloud deployment best practices.
• Experience with cloud migrations is a plus.
• Ability to debug complex data issues within extensive datasets containing billions of records.
• Capable of collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders during requirements meetings, technical whiteboarding, and SQL coding/debugging sessions.
• Ability to pursue assignments and requests to logical, final solutions.
• Understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
