This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.
• Take full ownership of the data architecture from start to finish, establishing its technical direction, which encompasses raw data, pipelines, analytical models, and reporting.
• Determine the data modeling strategy across the organization, including schemas, semantic layers, metric definitions, entities, and their relationships.
• Manage the platform roadmap, which involves the development of the data lake and overseeing the transition from Dataform to dbt.
• Lead and expand the Data team by prioritizing tasks, defining workflows, and fostering the growth of each team member.
• Establish and uphold standards for data quality, governance, documentation, and reliability.
• Manage access to customer and other sensitive data while overseeing warehouse cost controls.
• Serve as the primary contact for data throughout the organization, interpreting the needs of Marketing, Finance, Operations, and leadership into a coherent data strategy.
• Present data insights and recommendations to the executive team, transforming complex analysis into clear narratives that drive decision-making.
• Carry out other assigned duties as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
• Exceptional SQL skills along with substantial practical knowledge of contemporary analytical data stacks.
• Solid experience in data modeling and schema design, including dimensional modeling, semantic layers, metrics, entities, and their interconnections.
• Proficiency in cloud data warehouses and data services, preferably BigQuery and Google Cloud, as well as dbt/Dataform and Git-based workflows.
• Proven expertise in designing modern data architecture, including the construction of a data lake or lakehouse from scratch and defining the technical direction for data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Experience managing a data function, architecture, or significant component thereof, with a focus on establishing standards for data quality, governance, documentation, and reliability.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing data specialists, including setting priorities and technical benchmarks, mentoring team members, and facilitating their professional development.
• Proven ability to handle large-scale datasets, ideally within the e-commerce sector or another high-volume digital enterprise.
• Strong grasp of e-commerce and subscription metrics such as CAC, LTV, churn, and contribution margin, with the capability to convert data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage directly with Marketing, Finance, Operations, and senior leadership, and to present and justify data-driven conclusions at the executive level.
• Outstanding proficiency in both written and spoken English.
