Data Steward – Quality Excellence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Establish and uphold data quality benchmarks, business rules, metadata definitions, and taxonomy frameworks across various content domains.

• Track dataset health and quality metrics to enhance accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.

• Examine recurring data quality challenges and perform root cause analysis.

• Create preventive and scalable solutions.

• Collaborate with operational teams to identify systemic problems and implement process improvements.

• Develop and sustain quality dashboards, data dictionaries, governance documentation, and standard operating procedures.

• Work alongside product managers to convert operational insights into product requirements and enhancement opportunities.

• Partner with engineering teams to establish data quality requirements and aid automation initiatives.

• Assist with complex customer escalations and investigations.

• Lead cross-functional initiatives aimed at enhancing content quality, operational efficiency, and scalability.

• Advocate for standardization and best practices throughout content domains and workflows.

• Identify prospects for leveraging AI and automation to elevate quality and minimize manual effort.

• Act as a subject matter expert and reliable partner for data quality and governance initiatives.

• Create a unified quality framework and consistent metadata and taxonomy standards.

• Construct quality dashboards that offer visibility into dataset health.

• Propel recurring quality issues to root-cause resolution.

• Pilot at least one AI or automation initiative with measurable efficiency improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in data governance, data quality, content operations, product operations, information management, or a related area.

• Proven experience in root cause analysis and cross-functional process enhancement.

• Proficient in working with both structured and unstructured datasets.

• Experience in financial information services or similar industries is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills.

• Experience collaborating across Operations, Product, Engineering, and Quality teams.

• Background in defining operational metrics, standards, processes, and documentation.

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.

• Familiarity with SQL, BI tools, AI workflows, or metadata management is preferred.
