Data Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain data models that fulfill business intelligence, analytics, and operational requirements.

• Design, create, maintain, and document both paginated reports and interactive visualizations as standard offerings for the enterprise.

• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to comprehend data needs and convert them into effective solutions.

• Establish and uphold data standards, governance policies, and best practices in data architecture.

• Partner with IT and engineering teams to integrate data models from various data pipelines, warehouses, and analytical solutions.

• Manage data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and documentation for data models.

• Detect and rectify issues related to data quality and consistency across systems.

• Identify and monitor tasks and milestones for the maintenance and enhancement of data products.

• Communicate progress and challenges to IT and business leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in data warehouse data modeling, database design, or data architecture.

• A degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a comparable degree/experience.

• Proficiency in report writing and visualization design using industry-standard tools.

• Familiarity with data warehouse solutions such as Fabric, Synapse, or Snowflake.

• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).

• Experience handling data from a mix of ERP, CRM, or work order management systems.

• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI or Fabric semantic models.

• Experience with version control and CI/CD practices.

• Familiarity with Power BI as a tool for data visualization.

• Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing using Spark, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric.
