Data Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop, configure, and optimize DLP policies to meet data protection standards

• Observe and analyze DLP alerts as well as data security incidents

• Evaluate potential data loss occurrences and recommend remediation strategies

• Handle and resolve DLP-related challenges within business and user environments

• Assist with data protection compliance initiatives and audit obligations

• Set up and maintain Zscaler DLP, Symantec DLP, Proofpoint, and MIP/Purview

• Collaborate with stakeholders to grasp requirements and resolve data security challenges

• Address business and user needs during operational hours

• Discover opportunities to enhance DLP controls, procedures, and overall data security

• Record investigations, policy modifications, incidents, and remediation efforts

• Work alongside technical and business teams to mitigate data security risks and fulfill requirements

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in Data Security and Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

• Proficient hands-on experience with Zscaler DLP, Symantec DLP, Proofpoint, and Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) / Purview

• Experience in creating, configuring, and fine-tuning DLP policies

• Specialized knowledge in investigating DLP alerts and incidents

• Familiarity with supporting data protection compliance and audit processes

• Strong capabilities in stakeholder engagement, communication, and issue resolution

• Prior experience in banking or financial services sectors, ideally in regulated settings

• Experience in regulated environments and managing data protection obligations

• Proficiency in Python or Java development is a plus

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities

• Eligibility for BPSS clearance is required

• Must be legally authorized to live and work in the country where the position is located without employer sponsorship

• Capable of working on a PAYE basis through an umbrella company
