Data Scientist, Pricing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business goals related to B2B/B2C pricing strategies, forecasting, and the optimization of financial and operational metrics, prioritization of incidents, and enhancing customer journey efficiency.

• Lead machine learning initiatives from inception to completion, encompassing problem definition, formalization, model development, pilot testing, and result presentation.

• Partner with data engineers to gather datasets and evaluate the feasibility of implementations.

• Team up with analysts to design A/B tests, which includes defining metrics, determining traffic splits, and interpreting results.

• Create solutions involving classic machine learning, deep learning, time series analysis, and uplift modeling.

• Perform error analysis and evaluate performance metrics.

• Prepare models and code for deployment into production environments.

• Ensure model quality by monitoring key metrics and working together on issues related to degradation and improvement strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist.

• Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end machine learning projects.

• Solid understanding of classical machine learning methodologies, including feature engineering, classification, regression, and boosting techniques.

• Practical experience with uplift modeling and time series tasks that have real-world business applications.

• Background in collaborating with business stakeholders and grasping optimization challenges, such as pricing, B2C, LTV, retention, and A/B testing.

• Proficient in Python for data science and machine learning applications.

• Comfortable using SQL for building datasets, performing joins, and conducting data analysis.

• Preferred: experience with MLflow/DVC, Airflow or equivalent pipelines, anomaly detection/anti-fraud techniques, deep learning using PyTorch/TensorFlow, and model monitoring.
