Data Scientist – Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Utilize analytical expertise to assist in retail optimization initiatives

• Test machine learning models to predict sales volume and expenses

• Collaborate with retailers to enhance the 7Learnings software continuously

• Work closely with the engineering team based in Berlin

• Refine data pipelines and optimize predictive model codebases

• Aid in the monitoring, measurement, and analysis of large-scale datasets

• Take ownership of the localized development of the product for regional operations

• Ensure the AI-driven decision-making engines are mathematically robust, highly optimized, and resilient to engineering challenges

• Maintain low technical debt while achieving exceptionally high model accuracy

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline

• At least 3 years of experience as a data scientist with independent customer engagement

• A results-driven, pragmatic approach

• Practical experience in machine learning and data science

• Previous experience with Git, TensorFlow, Google Cloud Platform, SQL, or BigQuery

• Strong project management skills, with previous experience or a keen interest in e-commerce and the fashion sector

• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences

• English: Professional working proficiency (minimum C1 level)

• Must be located in Sydney
