This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +20 more states.

📋 Description

• Construct, train, and deploy machine learning models and data pipelines utilizing Python, pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.

• Design, execute, and enhance applications powered by large language models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.

• Develop agentic AI systems that incorporate tool usage, multi-step reasoning, and orchestration frameworks.

• Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.

• Create and develop data visualizations and dashboards for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Troubleshoot and resolve data and model-related issues, reduce drift, and enhance pipeline efficiency and model precision.

• Uphold best practices in coding standards, experiment tracking, and reproducibility.

• Investigate emerging AI/ML technologies, LLM integrations, and agentic tooling.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform business needs into data-driven insights, models, and analytical solutions.

• Perform other related tasks as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrates Great Gray attributes: Growth Mindset, Disciplined Curiosity, Grit, Results Ownership, Collaboration.

• Over 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer delivering production-grade models.

• Strong proficiency in Python, pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and FastAPI.

• Solid expertise in SQL.

• Experience in querying large datasets within Azure or AWS cloud environments.

• Proven experience in building and deploying ML models and APIs.

• Familiarity with model serving and monitoring.

• Must reside in one of Great Gray’s registered states: CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, MD, MI, MN, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, or VA.

• Must be authorized to work directly for any employer in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship or transfer.

• Preferred: experience with large language models and Azure AI Foundry or AWS Bedrock.

• Preferred: experience with AI-assisted development workflows utilizing Cursor and Claude.

• Preferred: practical experience with Azure and AWS services, cloud-based ML workflows, and managed AI services.
