Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Utilize advanced analytics and modeling techniques to enhance business outcomes.

• Leverage customer insights and behavioral data to shape strategic business choices.

• Employ complex analytics, multivariate models, machine learning, and data mining technologies.

• Support and/or lead small projects that operationalize business decisions.

• Potentially oversee a team of up to two junior data scientists.

• Execute projects related to consumer analytics, retention models, agency economics, and lead optimization.

• Define project scopes, establish success metrics, articulate a data science vision, and deliver results within set timelines.

• Collaborate with IT, business, and data management/engineering teams to understand, utilize, and enhance data infrastructure.

• Provide guidance on critical issues and promote a culture of fact-based decision-making and success metrics.

• Create presentations and deliver them to leadership.

• Implement models and rules across various platforms and assist in the testing of new solutions.

• Mentor junior data science team members, offering both technical and non-technical guidance.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in data analysis, statistical or mathematical modeling, or a related field is required.

• Proficient knowledge and experience in applying advanced analytics and modeling techniques.

• Familiarity with consumer analytics, including retention models, agency economics, and lead optimization.

• Intermediate understanding of advanced programming, complex ETL processes, and specialized modeling methodologies.

• Capability to produce clean, reusable code along with effective documentation.

• Proficient in scoping projects, defining success metrics, and completing them within designated timelines.

• Ability to collaborate with IT, business, and data management/engineering teams.

• Skilled in developing presentations and conveying them to leadership.

• Capable of translating complex technical concepts to non-technical team members.

• Experience managing moderate model deployments using MLOps techniques.

• Ability to work with analytics and IT teams to deploy models/rules and assist in the testing of new solutions.

• A Master's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, business analytics, or a related field is preferred.
