Data Sciences Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze diverse, unstructured big data sources.

• Utilize machine learning and predictive modeling tools.

• Create analytic models to identify and quantify solutions for business challenges.

• Interpret and effectively communicate insights and findings from analyses and experiments to clients, service teams, and business managers.

• Assess probable future outcomes and recommend improvements to business processes.

• Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced personnel in the development of software programs, algorithms, and automated processes.

• Cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets from various disparate sources.

• Choose modeling methodologies based on use case requirements, data characteristics, cost considerations, and timing constraints.

• Advocate for global data science initiatives and establish centers of excellence.

• Serve as a leading subject matter expert by offering guidance and a long-term vision.

• Influence client strategic decisions through industry expertise and innovative analytics solutions within operational systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of relevant experience in statistics, analytics, or machine learning.

• In-depth knowledge of data science methodologies, including classical regression, neural networks, sequence analysis, cluster analysis, and text mining.

• Proficiency with multi-dimensional and/or relational databases, such as NoSQL and OLAP.

• Experience in manipulating high-volume, high-dimensional data from various sources.

• Familiarity with big data integration and analysis tools, including R, Matlab, and SAS.

• Competence in data cleansing, validation, and general quality control principles.

• Video cameras must be used during all interviews and throughout the initial week of orientation.
