Data Protection – Identity Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Lead and enhance Extreme’s identity governance strategy for human, service account, and AI agent identities.

• Design, implement, and manage a cohesive Identity Governance & Administration program.

• Establish lifecycle management for AI agent identities, encompassing provisioning, entitlement review, and decommissioning.

• Define and uphold least-privilege access models and zero-trust principles.

• Maintain a real-time inventory of AI agent identities, access scopes, and risk profiles.

• Collaborate with AI platform and engineering teams to integrate identity security controls into deployment pipelines.

• Lead enterprise access certification and entitlement review processes.

• Integrate human identity management with AI agent identity management.

• Own and enhance the enterprise Data Loss Prevention strategy, policy framework, and toolset.

• Propel data tagging, classification, and sensitivity labeling across both structured and unstructured data.

• Define and enforce DLP policies for email, endpoint, cloud, and AI-assisted workflows.

• Manage DLP exception reviews with risk-based approvals and audit trails.

• Monitor DLP telemetry and investigate high-severity incidents in collaboration with the Security Operations Centre.

• Report on DLP effectiveness, policy coverage, and incident trends to senior leadership and regulatory stakeholders.

• Provide thought leadership on leveraging AI agents to enhance enterprise value.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience in designing and implementing identity governance programs, including management of non-human and service account identities.

• Proven expertise with enterprise DLP tools such as Microsoft Purview, Symantec DLP, or Zscaler.

• Experience with AI/ML platform security, encompassing LLM-based agents, APIs, automation pipelines, and MCP environments.

• Strong understanding of zero-trust architecture, least-privilege principles, and privileged access management (PAM).

• Familiarity with enterprise-scale data classification frameworks and sensitivity labeling.

• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

• Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities.

• Ability to translate technical risks into business impacts.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with executive-level reporting.

• Capacity to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

• Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.

• 8+ years of experience in Information Security.

• At least 3 years in identity governance, IAM, or data protection roles.

• Preference for experience securing environments with significant AI/ML or automation workloads.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Okta, SailPoint, or comparable IGA platforms.

• Experience with SIEM, CASB, and endpoint DLP solutions in enterprise settings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• On-call rotation required for high-severity DLP or identity incidents outside of standard hours.
