Data Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as a bridge between underwriting and the data warehouse as well as reporting teams.

• Regularly meet with underwriting teams to grasp business objectives, reporting priorities, and changing data requirements.

• Capture and document clear and concise business requirements for the reporting and engineering teams.

• Collaborate with data warehouse and reporting teams to define scope, prioritize tasks, and establish workflows.

• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.

• Oversee backlog items and development boards; engage in agile ceremonies and delivery cycles.

• Ensure that delivered reports and data outputs align with the original business intent and promote their adoption.

• Identify the downstream data and reporting implications for new and expanding products.

• Cultivate and sustain professional relationships with division owners and vertical leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 4 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or product ownership.

• Proven experience in gathering requirements and collaborating with data warehouse, BI, or reporting teams.

• Familiarity with concepts and terminology in the insurance industry, particularly underwriting, is highly preferred.

• Experience in an agile environment utilizing development boards or ticketing systems.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Excellent written communication skills, particularly in translating business needs into written requirements.

• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities across various verticals.

• Capability to develop professional relationships with division owners and senior business stakeholders.

• Comfort with agile delivery practices and backlog management.

• Working knowledge of reporting and BI tools and fundamental data warehouse concepts.

• Fluency in the English language is required.

• This position is remote for candidates in the Eastern, Central, or Mountain time zones.
