This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
β’ Develop and sustain scalable, secure, and dependable data pipelines and platform components utilizing AWS and Snowflake.
β’ Assist in defining and executing projects aimed at modernizing outdated data flows, integrating batch and streaming sources, and facilitating self-service analytics.
β’ Implement and enhance engineering standards related to testing, observability, security, and CI/CD within data systems.
β’ Incorporate AI features into data pipelines, such as anomaly detection and automated tagging.
β’ Leverage AI in development processes, including assisted testing and documentation.
β’ Remain updated on agentic and AI-driven data platform workflows and disseminate insights with the team.
β’ Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify risks, and propose effective solutions.
β’ Partner with Analytics, ML, Finance, and other business teams to deliver data that meets latency, accuracy, and governance requirements.
β’ Articulate technical work, limitations, and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Engage in technical design discussions, code reviews, and the advancement of data architecture.
β’ Manage issues through production while ensuring quality, documentation, and adherence to engineering standards.
β’ Cultivate technical judgment through collaboration with peers and share insights with the team.
β’ Proven experience in constructing data pipelines using Snowflake and AWS-native tools (e.g., Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Step Functions).
β’ Hands-on experience with real-time data systems such as Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, or Spark Streaming.
β’ Strong understanding of data modeling, schema evolution, and secure, privacy-conscious data design.
β’ Proficiency in Python and SQL.
β’ Some familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform or CDK).
β’ Practical application of AI tools in your development workflow, along with an interest in integrating AI into the platform itself.
β’ Proven track record of delivering projects from initiation to completion, with a focus on the associated business value.
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills; a dependable partner for both engineering and business teams.
β’ Self-motivated in uncertain situations: adept at asking insightful questions, responding to feedback, and expanding scope over time.
β’ Experience with dbt or analytics engineering patterns (preferred).
β’ Familiarity with ML platform tools or feature store design (preferred).
β’ Background in fintech, credit risk, or other regulated data environments (preferred).
