This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop metadata files and generate R syntax based on provided questionnaires, variable names, and descriptive labels.
• Execute test data through syntax to detect inconsistencies between instrument specifications and programmed surveys.
• Clean and recode sample frames on low-complexity projects with minimal oversight and on moderate-complexity projects with direct supervision.
• Review the coding and output of team members to identify any coding or output errors.
• Create, maintain, and utilize documentation for data management processes.
• Conduct basic statistical operations and perform data manipulation or transformation tasks.
• Resolve syntax issues and correct errors.
• Implement robust processes while managing an independent task list.
• Convey technical concepts to team members within the division.
• Recognize and communicate potential concerns to senior staff and other teams throughout the company.
• Assist team members in addressing potential concerns.
• Complete both internal and external technical training for professional growth.
• 1 to 2 years of experience utilizing R, RStudio, and its various packages for data management tasks.
• 1–2 years of experience in cleaning and wrangling data, particularly survey data or in database management.
• A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in statistics, social sciences, or related fields.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must agree to a comprehensive background check.
• Must satisfy eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information and undergo a government security investigation.
• Familiarity with GitHub is a plus.
