Data Governance Analyst – Mid

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Organize and categorize data objects and assets.

• Recognize opportunities for enhancing data governance policies, processes, assets, and responsibilities.

• Implement concepts and practices of Data Stewardship and Data Ownership.

• Assist in tracking project risks, requirements, and progress while keeping the Project Manager informed.

• Create and execute automation to enhance governance processes.

• Generate reports and analyses.

• Utilize metadata, data quality, data mapping, and data catalog tools, preferably CDGC.

• Aid in initiatives related to data quality, classification, lineage, and metadata management.

• Coordinate activities and align requirements with various departments and stakeholders.

• Promote the advancement of governance across Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst with an emphasis on Data Governance.

• Proficiency in Python and SQL.

• Background in exploratory data analysis.

• Understanding of data architecture along with Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse environments.

• Familiarity with Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and principles of data privacy and protection.

• Knowledge of Data Stewardship and Data Ownership.

• Experience or knowledge in data cataloging, classification, and metadata management.

• Familiarity with Data Catalog, Data Quality, and Data Mapping tools, preferably CDGC.

• Capability to prepare analyses, metrics, and regulatory reports.
