This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Model catastrophe risk and portfolio exposure for both direct P&C and domestic as well as international assumed reinsurance.

• Deliver analytics for underwriting, pricing, reinsurance, enterprise risk management, reserving, capital, and rating-agency operations.

• Report directly to the Reinsurance Actuary and Catastrophe Risk Modeler.

• Understanding of catastrophe modeling and exposure management.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and detail-oriented abilities.

• Capability to transform complex results into actionable insights.

• Competence to work independently while adhering to established priorities and appropriately escalating significant issues or judgment-based decisions.

• A Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, meteorology, finance, economics, data science, actuarial science, or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience is mandatory.

• Experience or designations related to catastrophe modeling, insurance, or reinsurance, such as CPCU or ARe, are preferred but not essential.

• Generally requires 1–2 years of experience in catastrophe modeling, exposure management, portfolio analytics, insurance, reinsurance, or related quantitative fields.

• Experience in catastrophe modeling, accumulation analysis, and insurance or reinsurance portfolio analytics is typically essential.

• Preferred experience in catastrophe risk analysis supporting reserving, capital, or financial risk management decisions.

• Experience in enterprise risk management analytics or reporting.

• Ability to carry out essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
