This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary technical authority for the organization concerning risk engineering, loss prevention, property protection, operational risk, and resilience strategies.

• Deliver advanced consulting services for the organization's most significant, intricate, and high-risk client engagements.

• Assess complex exposures related to property, casualty, operations, and business interruptions, and formulate strategic recommendations.

• Lead technical evaluations involving complex manufacturing processes, critical infrastructure, properties at risk of catastrophe, supply chain weaknesses, and specialized industry risks.

• Provide expert advice on fire protection, natural disasters, business continuity, equipment reliability, process safety, life safety, and operational resilience.

• Create innovative solutions for emerging risks, evolving technologies, and shifting risk landscapes.

• Counsel executive clients on strategic risk management, loss control investments, and operational risk mitigation.

• Collaborate with producers, client executives, account teams, carriers, engineering consultants, and underwriting partners.

• Assist in client retention, growth aims, market negotiations, placement strategies, renewals, and complex account evaluations.

• Investigate emerging risks and produce technical resources, white papers, educational materials, and client-facing content.

• Represent the organization at industry conferences, carrier forums, professional associations, and client gatherings.

• Mentor Risk Engineers, Senior Risk Engineers, and other professionals in risk management.

• Review technical documentation, engineering evaluations, and recommendations for risk improvement.

• Collaborate across brokerage, claims, analytics, underwriting, and client service areas.

• Act as an escalation resource and thought leader for intricate risk engineering issues.


⛳️ Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge in risk engineering, loss prevention, operational resilience, property protection, and principles of enterprise risk management.

• Recognized authority in one or more specialized risk fields such as property engineering, process safety, natural disaster management, industrial operations, construction risk, energy risks, transportation, healthcare, or manufacturing.

• In-depth understanding of insurance carrier engineering practices, underwriting standards, and loss prevention protocols.

• Exceptional capability to assess highly complex and ambiguous risks while developing practical and innovative solutions.

• Advanced skills in consulting, advisory roles, and relationship management.

• Ability to influence executive leadership, clients, carrier partners, and internal stakeholders through credibility and expertise.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret engineering, operational, claims, and exposure data.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Capacity to lead through influence, mentorship, and expertise without direct management authority.

• Strong project management and organizational skills.

• Proven commitment to innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence.

• High standards of professionalism, integrity, and client service.

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, occupational safety, risk management, industrial hygiene, environmental health & safety, or a related technical field is required.

• 8–10 years of progressive experience in risk engineering, property engineering, loss control, safety consulting, insurance risk management, or related technical areas.

• Significant experience in complex insurance brokerage, carrier, consulting, or multinational client settings.

• Professional certifications such as PE, CSP, ARM, CPCU, CFPS, ASP, or equivalent credentials are strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise in managing large accounts, complex risks, specialized industries, or global operations.

• Established internal and/or external recognition as a subject matter expert in the risk engineering profession.

• Willingness to travel as necessary to support client engagements, industry functions, and technical consulting activities.
