Data Engineering Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Data Engineering team, ensuring alignment, prioritization, and ongoing delivery.

• Act as a technical resource, aiding in decisions regarding architecture, standards, and best practices.

• Foster team development through constructive feedback, technical guidance, and support for career advancement.

• Manage the technical backlog, coordinate follow-up rituals, and maintain alignment with the Head of Data.

• Drive the implementation and advancement of modern data architectures, ensuring scalability, performance, and governance.

• Establish and uphold engineering standards for data ingestion, transformation, versioning, and publication.

• Guarantee the effective integration of data from various internal and external sources.

• Promote the development of an engineering and data-centric culture at Sólides.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background in Data Engineering, with experience in production and scalable environments.

• Prior experience in technical leadership, coordination, or acting as a senior technical advisor.

• Proficient in advanced SQL and experienced in Python.

• Familiarity with PySpark and cloud data platforms like Databricks or Lakehouse environments.

• Experience in orchestrating pipelines using tools such as Airflow, dbt, or similar.

• In-depth knowledge of data modeling and support for analytical layers.

• Proven ability to apply software engineering best practices to data, including testing, version control, and CI/CD.

• Understanding of modern data architectures, governance, security, and privacy.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration abilities.

• Analytical and pragmatic approach, with a strong sense of ownership and focus on results.

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
