Data Engineering Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Data Engineering team, ensuring that priorities are aligned and continuous delivery is achieved.

• Act as a technical authority, aiding in decisions regarding architecture, standards, and best practices.

• Foster team development through constructive feedback, technical guidance, and support for career advancement.

• Manage the technical backlog, coordinate follow-up rituals, and maintain alignment with the Head of Data.

• Spearhead the implementation and enhancement of modern data architectures to ensure scalability, performance, and governance.

• Establish and uphold engineering standards for data ingestion, transformation, versioning, and publication.

• Guarantee the seamless integration of data from various internal and external sources.

• Promote the growth and dissemination of an engineering and data culture within Sólides.

⛳️ Requirements

• Substantial experience in Data Engineering, particularly in production and scalable environments.

• Prior experience in technical leadership, coordination, or acting as a senior technical authority.

• Proficient in advanced SQL and experienced with Python.

• Familiarity with PySpark and cloud data platforms such as Databricks or Lakehouse environments.

• Experience with pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow, dbt, or similar.

• Strong understanding of data modeling and support for analytical layers.

• Familiarity with software engineering best practices as applied to data (testing, version control, and CI/CD).

• Knowledge of contemporary data architectures, governance, security, and privacy.

• Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration abilities.

• An analytical and pragmatic approach, with a robust sense of ownership and a results-oriented mindset.

• A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
