This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the Ads Signals & Measurement team, focusing on conversion and attribution, measurement data foundations, and audience onboarding and identity.
• Develop data and attribution capabilities that link advertising exposure to tangible outcomes.
• Establish data foundations for first-party measurement solutions that encompass the entire funnel, including incrementality, lift, experimentation, and third-party measurement studies.
• Facilitate audience onboarding, identity resolution, and the generation of rich signals for audience and targeting solutions.
• Integrate signals, identity, measurement, attribution, and optimization into a unified data ecosystem.
• Define technical direction and ensure design consistency across various organizations.
• Address cross-domain design decisions and assist teams in converging on scalable solutions.
• Mentor and coach data engineers, guiding them in the adoption of AI and emerging tools and technologies.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on data platform and Diversity & Inclusion teams.
• Contribute to and influence horizontal and platform-wide initiatives.
• Over 12 years of experience in building data foundations, backend systems, or data engineering systems.
• Background in advertising or ad-tech data, particularly in areas such as Ads identity graph, measurement, and targeting.
• Proficient in navigating multiple ad-tech domains.
• Proven ability to build trust and steer technical direction across organizational boundaries.
• Experience in achieving this across multiple companies or roles.
• Skilled in creating data privacy and governance systems.
• Strong communication skills for articulating technical nuances and business context clearly.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and assist engineers in reaching consensus on decisions.
• Experience in fostering growth and development in fellow engineers.
• Familiarity with modern data stacks from end to end: ingestion, processing, storage, and serving.
• Understanding of ad-tech systems and data flows, ideally with practical exposure to at least two domains such as measurement, attribution, identity, audience, and targeting.
• Knowledge of large-scale distributed data systems like Spark, Kafka, or columnar storage solutions.
• Insight into AI and agentic technologies as they pertain to data engineering.
• A graduate degree in Computer Science with a focus on data is advantageous.
• Experience in formally mentoring engineers regarding their technical development is a plus.
