Data Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Create high-volume data processing workflows using Redshift, Athena, Iceberg, Spark, and Airflow

• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists to transform theoretical concepts and methodologies into practical products

• Detect system performance issues and propose enhancements for process efficiency

• Collaborate and provide support to data scientists, analysts, and product managers

• Mentor and advise junior team members on architectural standards, best practices, and effective working methodologies

• Develop tools, libraries, and operational support for data scientists and analysts focusing on mobile and fixed internet performance data

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience

• Solid grasp of programming fundamentals

• Proficient in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Python, Scala, or Java

• Over 6 years of hands-on experience with Python

• Familiarity with high-volume distributed data processing using Spark

• Strong practical knowledge of SQL, MySQL, Redshift, Athena, Trino, data modeling, and contemporary data warehouse/lakehouse management

• Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical abilities

• Excellent communication skills, both in-person and through virtual platforms

• Effective time management capabilities and a self-motivated work ethic

• Background check is mandatory

• Experience with AWS cloud services is advantageous

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and streaming data pipelines is a plus
