This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

• Create high-volume data processing workflows utilizing Redshift, Athena, Iceberg, Spark, and Airflow.

• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists to transform theoretical concepts and methodologies into practical products.

• Detect system performance issues and suggest improvements for process efficiency.

• Provide support and work alongside data scientists, analysts, and product managers.

• Mentor and advise junior team members on architectural best practices, principles, and effective work strategies.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Solid grasp of programming principles and proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language: Python, Scala, or Java.

• Over 3 years of hands-on experience with Python.

• Experience in high-volume distributed data processing using Spark.

• Comprehensive knowledge of SQL, MySQL, Redshift, Athena, Trino, data modeling, and management of modern data warehouses/lakehouses.

• Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

• Willingness and eagerness to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills, both in person and through virtual platforms.

• Excellent time management skills and a self-motivated work ethic.

• Familiarity with AWS cloud services is advantageous.

• Experience with event-driven architecture and streaming data pipelines is a plus.
