Data Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Create and build high-capacity data processing pipelines utilizing Redshift, Athena, Iceberg, Spark, and Airflow.

• Establish monitoring, alerting, and data quality verification systems to guarantee pipeline dependability and data integrity.

• Engage in architectural decisions and technical design conversations for new data platform projects.

• Take part in code reviews and aid in setting team standards regarding data quality, testing, and documentation.

• Provide support and work collaboratively with data scientists, analysts, product managers, and integration teams.

• Build jobs, libraries, and operations that assist data scientists and analysts dealing with connectivity performance data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering.

• Proficient in SQL and various databases (MySQL, Redshift, Athena).

• Familiarity with data modeling techniques.

• Experience with workflow orchestrators such as Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect.

• Proficient in Python programming.

• Excellent communication skills, both in-person and through virtual channels.

• Understanding of ETL/ELT design methodologies.

• Experience with high-volume distributed data processing using Spark.

• Familiarity with AWS cloud services.

• Background check is mandatory.
