This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and design dependable data structures, utilizing tools such as dbt.
• Integrate data from various sources.
• Recognize dependencies and create clean, maintainable data models.
• Prepare data for reporting, analytics, and AI-related applications.
• Create reusable and reliable data products.
• Organize and supply data for AI and automation scenarios.
• Ensure data privacy, adherence to GDPR, and secure access to sensitive financial information.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Data Analysts, and Data Scientists.
• Convert business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Take full ownership of data products—from modeling and implementation to stable operations.
• Self-manage priorities and advance initiatives across team boundaries.
• Multiple years of experience in building and managing data pipelines, data models, or analytics engineering solutions in production settings.
• Practical experience with SQL and Python.
• Familiarity with dbt and Airflow.
• Understanding of data transformation, orchestration, and testing processes.
• Experience navigating existing system landscapes and their associated business, technical, and organizational dependencies.
• Capability to comprehend complex processes within the consumer lending sector and translate requirements into data models.
• Experience in testing, monitoring, plausibility checks, or other methods to ensure data quality.
• Knowledge of the data quality, structure, and availability needs of AI and automation applications.
• Ideally, experience with data privacy—especially GDPR—access control frameworks, and handling sensitive data in regulated environments.
• A mindset oriented towards data products.
• Proficiency in the German language at a minimum C1 level, both in writing and speaking.
