Data Engineer – Cloud, dbt

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes in cloud environments.

• Design and optimize data models in Snowflake, focusing on performance and cost efficiency.

• Create transformations and models in dbt while applying best practices and promoting reuse.

• Design analytical data models and ensure the quality of the solutions.

• Collaborate with business teams, BI, and architecture to translate analytical needs into data solutions.

• Work with Git, including deployments, code reviews, and technical documentation.

• Grow long-term within the Cívica team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer in data projects.

• Strong experience in at least one of the following cloud/data warehouse environments: Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.

• Hands-on experience with dbt in developing models, transformations, tests, and documentation.

• Advanced SQL skills for developing and optimizing queries and data processes.

• Experience in analytical data modeling, including dimensional models, data layers, data marts, or similar.

• Proficiency in Git and adherence to good development practices, including version control, code review, validation, and data quality.

• Experience in complex cloud environments or high-volume data scenarios, with a focus on optimization and scalability of solutions is a plus.
