Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Establish a functional SSAS environment.

• Create and revamp reports as part of the transition to an Analysis Services environment.

• Collaborate with the client's technical team to ascertain initial requirements.

• Utilize tabular, relational, and multidimensional data modeling techniques.

• Convert raw data into actionable business insights and pre-aggregate data for maximum efficiency.

• Document both logical and physical data models.

• Maintain and update the data model for the reporting environment.

• Generate new reports according to client specifications.

• Provide support to a federal client while contributing to team objectives and enhancing customer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional experience along with a bachelor’s degree.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience with JAVA and JavaScript.

• At least 3 years of experience working with SQL.

• Define and develop new reporting and data queries utilizing SQL, SSAS, and SSIS.

• Experience in constructing both star and snowflake schemas.

• Proficient understanding of tabular, relational, and multidimensional data models.

• Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.

• Experience in creating complex dashboards and reports using Power BI.

• Advanced knowledge of ETL, data pipeline, and data warehousing principles.

• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Adaptable and able to respond to rapidly changing requirements.

• Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

• VA experience is preferred but not mandatory.
