This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

• Migrate and convert data from business sources into the data warehouse.

• Design, construct, and sustain large-scale data solutions and data pipelines utilizing ELT tools and the technology stack.

• Create and uphold high-quality Python and SQL code with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Develop and enhance data solutions using Snowflake, MySQL, and MS SQL Server 2019.

• Collaborate with Delivery and Product teams, provide project updates, and ensure timely delivery of projects.

• Partner with Senior Developers to enhance development tools, processes, technology stack, application performance, and stability.

• Engage in and support code reviews.

• Test data solutions and implement appropriate testing strategies.

• Diagnose production issues, resolve them, and identify preventative measures.

• Offer out-of-hours support as needed in accordance with organizational SLAs.

• Minimum of 3 years’ commercial experience in Data Engineering.

• Strong commercial expertise in Python, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and effective code.

• Proficient SQL skills and a solid understanding of databases, data structures, and data manipulation.

• Commercial experience with data warehouses, preferably including Snowflake.

• Familiarity with MySQL and MS SQL Server 2019.

• Good understanding of data engineering principles and data transformation.

• Knowledge of testing strategies and the ability to write robust, reliable data solutions.

• Experience working within Agile methodologies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

• Experience with ELT tools such as Fivetran, Kleene, or dbt (desirable).

• Familiarity with source code management tools, preferably Git (desirable).

• Previous experience in the travel industry (desirable).

• Background in financial or finance-related data (desirable).

• Starting salary of £40,000 with potential for increase based on experience and suitability.
